I fled Him, down the nights and down the days; I fled Him, down the arches of the years; I fled Him, down the labyrinthine ways Of my own mind; and in the midst of tears I hid from Him, and under running laughter. Up vistaed hopes I sped; And shot, precipitated, Adown titanic glooms of chasmed fears, From those strong Feet that followed, followed after, But with unhurrying chase, And unperturbed pace, Deliberate speed, majestic instancy, They beat—and a Voice beat More instant than the Feet-- “All things betray thee, who betrayest Me I pleaded, outlaw-wise, By many a hearted casement, curtained red, Trellised with inter-twining charities; (For though I knew His love who followed, Yet was I sore adread Lest, having Him, I must have naught beside.)” Stanzas 1-2a of The Hound of Heaven by Francis Thompson
About Us
We are unprofitable servants; we have done what we were obliged to do. (Luke 17:10)
Our Mission
There is but one mission, and that is the mission of spreading the word of God.
As I travel down the 'self-help' aisle I wonder why we are not getting our message out. Hopefully this site is an attempt at that.
This site is not about discussing the merits of religion nor the existence of God. If you seek that then there are many sites to help you accomplish that goal. This site is about theology and theological concepts, their study and their teaching. It assumes and precludes (apriori if you will) a God and your belief in that God. Hence the origin of this site is God and that all things emanate from him and return to him. Little room for foundational doubt but plenty of room for questioning and discovery.
